Collection: Wild Flora - Framed Originals

These illustration were created as a part of my “Wild Flora” collection which was for my first collection release. I started out with what inspired me to begin creating again after a five year break while I had my two daughters. These illustrations are filled with so many beautiful memories as I began to find my way as an artist with my young girls as motivation to follow my creative dream.

This collection of artwork features Australian native flora with a focus on the intricate details and structure of the plant. I explored my local surrounds and foraged small branches of leaves and flowers to take back to the studio for photographing. As I allowed the plants natural structure to lay on the work bench, I took reference photos from different angles until I found the perfect shot that would represent all its exquisiteness. These modern, realistic botanical illustrations make a stand all on their own, bringing the Australian bush lands beauty indoors.
